Located at 41-10 29th St, Long Island City, NY 11101, FER operates as a chinese restaurant serving Long Island City in New York. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Long Island City; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 AMโ9 PM. Long Island City is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Long Island City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The restaurant has a clean, cozy industrial-style interior with comfortable seating and nice lighting. Itโs the kind of place where you can sit and relax without feeling cramped or stuffy. I ordered the beef tripe noodle soup (non-spicy). The tripe was really tender and well braised, and although the broth looked light, it had a subtle sweetness and plenty of flavor. It wasnโt heavy or overly rich, and the whole bowl was just really comforting. The Wan Za Noodles were probably my favorite. I havenโt really seen this style at other places before. Itโs a mixed noodle dish with minced meat, greens, and beans that you mix together yourself. Every bite had a different combination of flavors, and the sauce was just rightโnot too dry and not greasy. Overall, I really liked how satisfying everything felt without being heavy. Nothing was overly oily, salty, or rich. Itโs the perfect spot for when you want a good, comforting meal without making it feel like a big production.

One of the cleanest Chinese food spot in nyc. We ordered two noodles one lamb and one intestine to try. It was a very bold and adventurous move for us since they can get gamey and gross easily. Fer executed two dishes perfectly. Clean and flavorful broth plus a plenty of proteins without the gaminess. The staffs were also very polite. Overall I give it 5/5
